Spike ball Reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Spike ball is a game that is a mixture of Tchoukball and volleyball. The aim of the game is to try and spike the a ball on a round trampoline and try and make it hit the ground. If the ball isn't caught by the opposing team then they get a point. There are 2 teams of 2 who verse each other. You can pass the ball 3 times just like volley ball.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) If I had to grade myself I would give myself an achieved, because the game wasn't something I would normally play and I would sometime play basketball with the balls, but I was active most of the time giving 100% and brought my full gear to the lesson.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). -Participation +challenge -classmates/and friend
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples)Participation Affected my performance in a negative way because I would go of and shoot some hoops with Ivan because the game started to get boring for me. Challenge effect my participation in a positive way because no one had played the game before so it new to everyone so it made it even and made it more challenging for so that I could be the best. Classmates and friends affected my performance in a negative way because sometimes they would muck around you go and play something else.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? I think I could improve on my participation so that I can focus on the game and not get distracted and play something else, I will do this by focusing on the game more.

Chop sticks Reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Today we played a game called chop sticks it is similar to capture the flag, but instead of using a flag, we used hockey sticks to pick up the puck and carries it to the your side of the court. There were 4 corners which each had its own pucks. The team that had all four of the pucks on there side of the court won.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) I give myself an achieve because I was organized and brought my gear and I also help my teammate by helping them pick up the puck so that could get past the half way line.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). + Challenge + Fun/enjoyment -Fitness
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) challenging effect my participation because the puck was not easy to pick up and move with plus if you got tagged you had to give the puck back so it made it more challenging for me. Fun and employment effected my participation because the game was fun and wasn't boring because it was something new that I had never played before making it me more eager to play. My fitness affected my participation because I started to get tired during the game and made me not want play for a bit.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? To increase my participation for my fitness I think I need to run more so that I can build up my stamina so that I don't get tired fast.
