Softball reflection


  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. The activity we played was softball, it is a sport were you have to pitch the ball to a batter and the batter has to try hit the ball with his bat. There are 4 bases where the batters have to run to before getting a run/point. If the ball is thrown to a base or if someone touches the batter with the ball then the batter is out.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria)In this activity I would give myself an merit. I would give myself merit because I would always work hard to try and get a run by always hitting the ball far and helping my teammates by getting them to the fourth base. I also thought that I was a merit because I gave 100% and was always motivated and ready to play.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). +Environment +Previous experience -illness
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Environment effected my participation in a positive way because the weather was sunny outside and there was no wind so it was perfect day to play outside. Previous experience effected me in a positive way because I had already played softball before so I already knew how to play which made it easier for me and more fun. Illness effected my participation in a negative way because I was sick had a cough on that day so it held me back about because I would always be coughing but I still played.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?I think I could increase my participation by getting my teammates more envolved so they don't get bored

Benchball reflection


  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. The activate we play in is a game called bench ball bench ball is a bit similar to dodge ball and capture the flag, The aim of the game is to try and pass the ball to someone on the bench and try a run over and stand on the bench without get tagged by someone in the opposing team. The first team with 4 players on a bench won the game.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) I thought my participation was and merit because I gave me best and was motivate and help my team while defending people from getting to the bench and also help my team by getting to the other bench and winning the game. I also that I was a merit because I all ways tried to get to the bench so that my team could win.

  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples)Participation effected my performance in a positive way because I was giving 100% of my ability through out the whole game. Previous experience effected my participation in a positive way because I was happy before coming to play and because I didn't play bench ball before so it made me more happy and motivated to play. Fitness effect my participation in a negative way because I would get tired from running around to much and made me slower but it didn't stop me from giving 100%
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?To increase my participation I think that I need to more fit and build my stamina so that I don't get tired while playing games.

Skeletal System

For the Past week we have been learning about the Anatomy and Bio mechanics.
The many components but we have been learning about the skeletal system. There are 4 types of bone in your body Flat bone, long bones, Short bones and irregular bones.
Long bones produce red bed cells e.g. humerus and femur
Short bones function are to produce small movement e.g. carpals and tarsals

Flat bones function is to protect organs in the body e.g. cranium and scapula
Irregular bones are all of the others bones, which have various functions e.g. vertebrae
We than had to remember the 20 important bones in the skeletal system which are in the photo
and had to make the skeleton which is in the photo and labelled them.

Futsal Reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Today we play Futsal, Futsal is a game that is similar to Football/soccer every thing is the same except there are not boundary's and it is play indoors. You have to try and score into the opposing team goal and you are not allowed to touch the ball with your hands. You can only kick the ball with your legs.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? For Futsal I would grade my participation an merit, I chose merit because did my best during the game and also tried to improve my skills like my handling by going up against people that are good defenders an tried to help enhance my teammates shooting by passing it to them while they were open.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). +Previous experience -Equipment +Well being
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Previous experience effected my participation in a positive way because I had play soccer before and futsal since futsal identical to soccer it made it easier for me to play fulsal because I had more experience. Equipment effected my participation in a negative because the goals weren't really good unlike a real goal it moved everywhere when you hit the ball on the outside of the goal it and it was also harder because the goal was small. Well being effected my participation in a positive way because I was in a good mood and it made me more eager and motivated to play.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?I think that I could improve my participation by communicating with my peers more and also think that I should sharing the ball around more and set up plays for my teammates.
