Turbo Touch reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Today we played turbo touch with the year nines, it is basically like touch but you can pass forward. The aim was to try and get 2 tries by putting the ball down in the try zone and we also had to pass the ball twice before we score.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) Today I gave myself a merit. I gave myself a merit because I would help my teammate by creating space so that my teammates could pass it to me and score. I also gave myself a merit because I would enhance experience with others by making friends with some of the year nines and was always working hard towards getting a trying by staying around the try zone so they had someone to pass to.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). -Friends/classmates -fitness +sense of achievement.
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Friends/classmates affected my participation in a negative way because some of the year nines that were playing slacking and weren't playing properly so it pissed me off and made me not want to play. fitness affected my participation in a negative way because I got tired after 3 games making me sub out and it made me feel like not playing. Sense of achievement affected my participation in a positive way because we I was on the court we were winning our games so it made me want to play more because we were winning.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? I think I could increase my participation by getting more fit so I don't get tired and also get more involved with the year nines so that it is more enjoyable and so they don't slack off.

fitness suite circuit

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Today we did a fitness circuit, a circuit is when you have multiple stations, there 8 stations. They were bicep curls, Rowing, lunge jumps, cycling, Russian twist, berpees, medicine ball squats, agility zig zag. We did 2 rounds of 45 seconds at each station and 20 seconds on the last round, there was a 1 minute break after each round.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria)I gave myself a merit because I always seek to improve my skills because I didn't really know how to do all the stations so I ask my friend how to do it, so it helped me improve my skills because I knew what to do. I also was always motivated and help my friend by motivating him saying that he can do it, so that he could do his best.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). -Fitness , -injury/illness -previous experience
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Fitness affected my participation in a negative way was because I would get tired fast, For example when we did the lunge jumps I would get tired fast and stop and wait for the time to finish, this made me not want carry on and finish the circuit, but I still did it. Injury /illness affected my participation in negative way was because I was sick and had a block nose so it made it harder for me to breath and made me want to sit down and have a rest. Previous experience affected my participation in a negative way because I had never done some of the workouts before so it made it hard for me because I didn't know what to do, so it made me confused and not want to participate.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? I think that next time I could increase my participation by coming to the lesson more mentally prepared

Table Tennis Reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. The activity we played in was table tennis, but besides playing we had to set up the table, It took a a lot of time and instructions before we finished. After we finished setting up we played a 2v2 tournament of table tennis.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria)
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). For this activity I would give myself a merit because I would always try and a motivate my partner by cheering every time we got a point, I also helped support my pairs by assisting them when they need help to build the table and instructed them on what they need to do and I always tried to improve my skills by looking for new techniques to hit the ball and serve.
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Equipment+, Challenge+, Sense of achievement+ Equipment affected my participation in a positive way because we got to play on the brand new table tennis table and got to use new bats, so this made me want to play more. Challenge Affected my participation in a positive way because we had to build the table tennis table from the box, it was difficult to make and no one knew what to do so it made it more of challenging for me and made me won't to play more. Sense of achievement also affected my participation in a positive way because it took us almost 1 period to build the table, so when we final finished I was relieved because we had final finish the table, and made me eager hurry and play the game.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?I think that we could increase our peers participation by making everybody help build the table instead of a little group of us doing it, so that we could build the table faster and have more playing time.

Projectile Motion

Projectile motion is a form of motion where an object or projectile is thrown into the air. There is 3 parts of projectile motion, Angle of release, height of release and speed of release. The angle of release is the the optimal AoR can vary, the average angle release is 45 degrees but in so activity like shot put there average angle release is 32-38 degrees. Height of release is the higher the release the longer and object will travel. The Speed of release is the greater the speed, greater the height and distance the object travels. The activity we did was a rubber band activity were we had to flick the paper in the air. We had to figure out the right amount of paper to use for the paper to travel, We had to figure out how to make create the most speed to make the paper travel more further and the angle to release the paper so it can travel longer.

Levers

Today we did an activity about levers, a lever is made up of three parts effort, Load/resistance and fulcrum.
The fulcrum is like the pivot point of the lever, the effort is the forces applied and the Load is the thing that needs effort to be applied.
There are 3 classes,
class 1 a example is an seesaw
class 2 a example is an wheelbarrow
class 3 a example is an arm
Lever I are used a lot in sports for example badminton, When you hit the shuttlecock with the racket your fulcrum is your hand, the efforts is your muscles in your arm used to swing the racket and the shuttlecock is the load.
In the activity we did we had to cut out and colour in shapes and had to label them, the green was effort the yellow was fulcrum and the purple was the load. We then had to shape them into each of the classes and then we had to explain why it was that class.

Friends/classmates affected me in negative way because I would sometime see them not dancing and sitting down so it made me want stop and sit down and made me not want to participation. previous experience affected me in a negative way because I didn't know what zumba was then my teacher said it was like dancing and made me not want to do it.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? I think I could increase my participation by getting more involved with the activity and try and get my friends to try and participate and more energised.
