Energy systems


Energy systems is when the energy in your body operates to make you move. We get our energy from food. There is 3 energy systems in our body, ATP-PC, Anaerobic and Aerobic. An example of these systems is in the table below.

Example: Basketball
ATP-PC
0-12 seconds
When you take a shot, When you pass the ball or When you jump.
Anaerobic
12-2 minutes
First 2 minutes of the game
Aerobic
2 minutes plus
Running up and down the court the whole game.
