1. Sammie measure the distance from his bedroom door to the lounge and it was 5.2m.  It was an extra 2.9 to the couch. What was the total distance from his bedroom to the couch?2.9+2.3=5.2 add .1=3.0+2.2=5.2  .1+2.2=2.3

     

2. The wooden steps at the back door have fallen apart. The drop from the doorstep to the ground is 1.28m. Tiaki puts a couple of layers of concrete blocks down temporarily to reduce the distance. These layers measure .650m.  What is the drop now?
