Zumba reflection

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. Today we participated in an activity called Zumba. Zumba is sort of an work out to get you pump up and relax you body, It is like a dance and you can try and dance to any song you want.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) I would give myself an achieved because I was prepared and organised and brought my gear. I also tried to improve my skills by following the dance moves on the screen and demonstrated my skills by showing my accurate dance moves.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). -Well-being -friends/classmates -Previous
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) Well-being affected my participation in negative way because we just came back from the holidays so I was still tired and it made me not want to join in. Friends/classmates affected me in negative way because I would sometime see them not dancing and sitting down so it made me want stop and sit down and made me not want to participation. previous experience affected me in a negative way because I didn't know what zumba was then my teacher said it was like dancing and made me not want to do it.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? I think I could increase my participation by getting more involved with the activity and try and get my friends to try and participate and more energised.

  1. Thank you for an honest, in depth reflection Jayden. You have thought about the factors which affected your participation and explained how and why your participation went down. I like the examples you have used to back up your factors. Can't wait to see more in depth reflections like this, you're on the way to a good grade! Miss D
